Facility Maintenance / Shopkeep
About The Position
The Maintenance & Shopkeep position will consist of the following duties/assignments: Assist in the maintenance/repair of shop equipment such as compressors, tools, ladders, airlines, forklifts, vehicles, and lifts. Schedule, Track, and Perform routine maintenance inspections and services on shop equipment/vehicles Facilities maintenance and repairs Simple plumbing, landscape, electrical, and fabrication duties. Housekeeping (sweeping, cleaning, emptying trash) Disposal of scrap metal and borings Marking and identifying raw materials Organizing materials and supplies Requesting repair parts, cleaning supplies, or tools Running a magnet over parking lot to pick up nails Organizing and segregating shipping pallets, disposing of broken pallets Transport raw materials from one place to another Assemble materials, tools, and equipment as required Assist in moving product around warehouse Assist in lifting, carrying and moving heavy loads as required Assist in oil recycling campaign Assist Operations Management as requested Other duties to be assigned as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in a maintenance setting preferred but not required
- Familiar with production equipment and machinery preferable
- Sharp attention to detail in favor of identifying defects
- Self-driven and hard worker
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Flexible to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required
- Able to stand for long hours at a time
- Able to withstand hot temperatures in the production room
- Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 75 lbs, 150 pounds in a team-lift.
- Must maintain a safe work manner at all times.
