About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a safety-minded individual with millwright-type experience to learn and grow with the team in El Dorado, Arkansas. The Maintenance Repair Technician performs a variety of maintenance and repair work on equipment throughout the facility. The posted wage is $32.21. The schedule is 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or rotating.

Requirements

Plant maintenance experience in at least one of the following areas: preventative maintenance, installations, welding, electrical, or pipefitting.
Demonstrated education or experience in welding.
Experience with hydraulic systems.
Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and manipulating and handling objects.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Three to five years of millwright-type experience is preferred.
Experience with pumps; experience with centrifugal and diaphragm pumps is an asset.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and maintain health and safety as the top priority.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of parts as necessary.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to verify performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
Use computer instrumentation to perform diagnostics and execute work orders.
Weld and fabricate parts as needed to maintain equipment in working order.
Perform other duties as assigned.
