About The Position

The Facilities Repair Specialist maintains the cleanliness, safety, functionality, and overall condition of Old Dominion’s corporate office and service center facilities. This hands-on role includes day-to-day maintenance, preventative maintenance, equipment and system safety, recordkeeping, and arranging repairs when needed. The position helps ensure facilities remain safe, clean, operational, and presentable for employees and visitors.

Requirements

Two years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in stressful situations.
Working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical issues.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Keep cleaning equipment and facilities operational, safe, and compliant with relevant codes by scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs.
Follow daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance schedules and maintain records of completed maintenance.
Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs as needed, or arrange repairs with outside vendors such as plumbers.
Keep fire extinguisher inspections current.
Replace water cooler, refrigerator, and building filters on schedule.
Follow safety guidelines for equipment and materials used in daily work.
