About The Position

Facility Housekeepers help provide U-Haul’s exceptional service by keeping the facility clean and inviting. The position involves cleaning storage units and common areas, disposing of trash, and monitoring cleaning supplies. The work environment may involve moderate risks or discomforts, including moving machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals, and may require protective clothing or equipment. The role requires physical activity, including remaining stationary for extended periods, moving around outdoors, reaching objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance.

Requirements

Organization skills.
Willingness to learn.
Self-starter.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship.
Must not use nicotine products, as U-Haul does not hire or re-hire nicotine users in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
Dispose of trash.
Maintain and track cleaning supply inventory and request supplies as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
