About The Position

The Facility Manager/Director is responsible for monitoring and directing the daily operations of the community repair and maintenance function at a single installation. The role provides management oversight for daily operations, financial reporting, employee training and development, and customer service for an assigned maintenance team. It oversees property inspections, maintenance planning, operational and financial performance, and company safety, Hazmat, environmental, and Zero Harm initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of supervisory experience in facilities management.
• Strong understanding of facility management.
• Proficiency in bid management, forecasting, budget preparation, and financial management.
• Strong people management, leadership, customer relations, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to multitask, manage several projects, and excel under tight deadlines.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• Universal H.V.A.C. certification.
• Proficiency in Yardi.
• Working knowledge of local building codes and OSHA standards, including Hazmat, EPA, and Universal Waste protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide management oversight for daily operations, financial reporting, employee training and development, and customer service for an assigned team of maintenance personnel.
• Oversee regular physical property inspections at the assigned installation to ensure assets are properly maintained and kept up.
• Forecast maintenance needs and institute an effective time management program to meet resident satisfaction and project completion goals.
• Attend and assist with LifeWorks events as needed.
• Build and develop a highly motivated, skilled, and productive team to advance company operational goals.
• Partner with military executives and the project management team to audit and improve maintenance and repair initiatives and goals.
• Monitor financial and operational findings for the property and collaborate with the Project Director and Community Manager/Director to keep the maintenance team within budget and on task while delivering a high level of service.
• Monitor operational policies and recommend changes to improve business functionality.
• Create and communicate approved maintenance policies and procedures to improve customer service and employee safety and raise installation standards.
• Oversee company safety, Hazmat, environmental plans, and Zero Harm initiatives at the assigned installation.
