About The Position

The Facility Custodian performs custodial and light maintenance duties throughout the site. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining indoor and outdoor areas, carrying out minor repairs, supporting preventative maintenance, and completing work-area cleanup and safety-related duties. The position is scheduled for second shift, Monday through Friday, with a 2:30 p.m. start and mandatory overtime as required. Pay is $17.50 per hour, with an 8% second-shift differential bringing the rate to $18.90 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash containers.
• Clean parking lots and truck loading areas.
• Replace bulbs in light fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing tasks.
• Ensure aluminum, plastic containers, and waste paper are recycled.
• Clean and lubricate overhead doors and loading dock plates.
• Operate a hydraulic press used for baling corrugated materials.
• Perform landscaping, including mulching, seeding, bed edging, pruning, fertilizing, mowing, planting, and snow removal.
• Sweep, vacuum, wash, and wax floors.
• Clean and maintain the cafeteria, break room, bathrooms, customer service area, lobby, and general offices.
• Paint traffic markings, doors, walls, conveyors, racking, and other areas or equipment.
• Perform acid etching and sealing of concrete floors.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on appropriate equipment.
• Perform work-area cleanup and safety-related duties.
• Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed.
• Inspect and help coordinate needed make-ready repairs and services.
