About The Position

The Custodian maintains the cleanliness of Academy buildings by performing scheduled custodial work. The role pays $15.50 per hour and works an evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On-the-job training will be provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Physical ability to meet job demands, including reaching with hands and arms, lifting and carrying at least 25 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and extensive walking.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, furniture, chalkboards and erasers, drinking fountains, toilets, urinals, showers, walls, light fixtures, windows, and glass areas according to the assigned schedule.
• Operate power-driven floor sweepers, scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and waxing machines.
• Rearrange furniture to clean areas thoroughly.
• Remove trash from buildings, care for school property adjacent to buildings, and sweep walkways.
