About The Position

This position is being posted on behalf of One50 Fitness. The Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of One50Fitness, ensuring that all areas of the facility are safe, clean, and welcoming for members and staff. This role involves cleaning gym equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, common areas, and ensuring that the facility meets high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the day. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow a cleaning schedule to ensure efficiency.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within the designated work hours.
Ability to work well as part of a team, cooperating with other facility staff to maintain a clean environment.
Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members and report any issues to the management.
Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with staff and gym members.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and lifting cleaning supplies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily cleaning goals.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in janitorial or cleaning work, preferably in a fitness center, gym, or similar environment.
Familiarity with cleaning products and chemicals, and an understanding of how to use them safely.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, including gym floors, machines, equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
Wipe down and disinfect gym equipment (e.g., treadmills, weights, bikes) to ensure a clean and hygienic workout environment for members.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, including replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors throughout the facility, especially in high-traffic areas.
Empty trash cans throughout the facility and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, handrails, and water fountains.
Follow a cleaning schedule to ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as carpet cleaning, window washing, or cleaning behind and under equipment.
Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and notify the manager of low inventory levels.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report any maintenance issues, broken equipment, or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
Assist in maintaining a safe environment by removing debris, cleaning spills, and ensuring walkways are clear.
Maintain a friendly, approachable attitude when interacting with staff and members, and respond to inquiries or requests related to cleanliness.
