Facility Attendant
About The Position
Merakey is seeking a Facility Attendant to join their team at their Fresh Start transitional housing program in Philadelphia, PA. This program provides 24/7 support to Veterans and individuals with a history of homelessness, chemical dependency, and/or varying degrees of behavioral health issues. The Facility Attendant will monitor residents' behavior, ensure a safe and harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery, and perform building checks for cleanliness and safety. They will also be responsible for incident reporting, monitoring residents during medication intake, and ensuring assigned chores are completed properly.
Requirements
- High School or GED required
- Effective communication skills
- 18 years old minimum required
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with VA population preferred
- Prior experience in Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' behavior.
- Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
- Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (including all rooms).
- Incident reporting, including writing incident reports and reporting immediately to supervisor or program manager.
- Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication.
- Monitor assigned chores and ensure general inspections (GI's) are done properly.
