About The Position

Southern Foodservice Management is seeking an AM Dining Facility Attendant (DFA) for their Fort Sill location. This role involves a variety of cleaning and replenishment duties to ensure the dining facility operates smoothly and meets Army Standards. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and daily sanitation requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Standing 70%, Walking 30%.
  • Frequent movement of objects.
  • Occasional climbing or balancing.
  • Frequent stooping.
  • Frequent reaching.
  • Frequent handling.
  • Frequent talking/hearing.
  • Frequent seeing.
  • Frequent temperature variation.
  • Must wear assigned uniforms; uniforms are to be clean and properly maintained with name badges and government IDs.
  • Must wear hairnets or other hair restraint in foodservice places when in food production or serving areas.
  • Cannot work with food with exposed boils or infected cuts, abrasions, or burns.
  • Cannot work with acute respiratory illness and cannot work with contagious illness.
  • Must use disposable gloves and change them per guidelines.
  • Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.
  • Fingernails must be short and clean.
  • No loose hanging jewelry.
  • Trained on proper hand-washing techniques.
  • Mops are to be stored hanging without strings touching the ground surface, or in clean sanitation/wash solution or in direct use.
  • White towels used for cleaning are to be kept in clean wash solution.
  • Disposable towels for sanitizing are to be kept in clear sanitizer solution.
  • Wash Towels/green buckets & Sanitizer Towels/red buckets or direct use.
  • Date labels must be written for each and every item placed in storage.
  • Food items are not to exceed 7 days of storage under refrigeration.

Responsibilities

  • Sweeping, mopping, cleaning, wiping, scrubbing, polishing, and washing as assigned by the Cleaning Schedule.
  • Sorting and replenishing silverware, china, glassware, and smallwares.
  • Washing pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, forks, knives, and spoons.
  • Scraping trays from the tray return mechanism to maintain customer flow.
  • Operating the dish machine at sufficient speed to maintain flow per Army Standards.
  • Properly handling chemicals per MSDS and Southern Safety protocols.
  • Performing all duties in compliance with Workplace Safety Standards and protocols.
  • Emptying trash receptacles and taking out trash.
  • Maintaining general cleanliness of the facility, inside and outside, as assigned by the Cleaning Schedule.
  • Salting, ice removal, and maintaining the safety of walkways in winter conditions.
  • Re-stocking food service utensils and equipment, and maintaining service area cleanliness.
  • Properly cleaning areas used and equipment.
  • Taking any required temperature record logs.
  • Conducting duties in an orderly and professional manner according to Southern Foodservice Code of Conduct.
  • Following all Company policies and procedures.
  • Supporting meal production, service, and cleaning after the meal or in the dining facility as assigned by Assistant Managers or Supervisors.
  • Ensuring employee hygiene standards are met, including wearing assigned uniforms, hair restraints, and proper glove usage.
  • Adhering to sanitation requirements for mop usage, towel storage, and date labeling for stored food items.
