About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Facility Attendant to join their team at a program in Philadelphia, PA, specifically in Kensington. This program focuses on providing transitional housing and 24/7 support to Veterans and individuals with a history of homelessness, chemical dependency, and behavioral health issues. The program operates out of 12 locations in Philadelphia and partners with the Philadelphia VA Medical Centers and Philadelphia’s Office of Addiction Services. They also offer "self-pay" housing options for indefinite stays.

Requirements

• High School or GED required
• Effective communication skills
• 18 years old minimum required

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' behavior.
• Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
• Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety, including all rooms.
• Write incident reports, report immediately to supervisor or program manager, and follow Merakey policy.
• Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor, and follow Merakey incident report policy.
• Monitor assigned chores and ensure general inspections (GI's) are done properly.
• Complete assigned training within mandated time frames.
