About The Position

Walker seeks a Facilities Worker for their Needham campus to assist the Facilities Manager in the overall maintenance, upkeep and improvement of campus buildings. The successful candidate will have general maintenance and trade skills, including experience in carpentry and the ability to operate power equipment (lawn tractor, snowplow, etc.) as well as experience with minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Driver's license and on-call coverage (rotating basis) required.

Responsibilities

General maintenance and upkeep of all operational equipment, such as heating/ventilation systems, electrical systems, emergency systems, safety systems and maintenance department equipment
Maintenance, upkeep and repair of grounds, including snow removal
Maintenance, upkeep, repair and remodeling of all buildings, including, but not limited to, shampooing of carpets, sheetrock, vinyl and ceramic tile, painting, replacing / repairing doors and locks.
Scheduling and facilitating regular maintenance and repair of agency vehicles
Conduct regular inspections of all buildings.
Other duties as assigned.
Scheduled on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
