About The Position

Watertown Savings Bank is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker to represent the bank in a courteous and professional manner. This role involves providing prompt, efficient, and friendly service, coordinating outside service and repair calls for buildings, and performing a wide variety of manual maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include changing light fixtures and bulbs, moving furniture and office equipment, maintaining grounds, and completing special maintenance projects.

Requirements

Medium physical exertion.
Ability to exert up to 80 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Daily movement includes holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with hand or hands.
Ability to operate vehicles and tools required for the position, including a plow truck, Bobcat skid-steer, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and weed trimmers.

Responsibilities

Maintains consistent and reliable attendance during regularly scheduled working hours and is willing to work flexible hours for snow removal, vendor appointments, or urgent maintenance needs.
Maintains a neat and clean maintenance facility.
Works independently, prioritizes tasks, and responds professionally.
Performs routine repairs and maintenance at Bank buildings, including work involving plumbing, heating, electrical fixtures, lighting, doors, lock sets, painting, and cleaning.
Inspects and troubleshoots problems, obtains outside contractors, and schedules repairs as necessary for building systems and equipment, including plumbing, heating, electrical, and air-conditioning systems.
Safely operates vehicles and tools required for the position, including, but not limited to, a plow truck, Bobcat skid-steer, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and weed trimmers.
Maintains all Bank property by completing required seasonal work, including grass cutting, weed trimming, shrubbery trimming, and snow and ice removal.
Move and store furniture and office equipment as needed.
Maintain Bank vehicles, tools, equipment, and maintenance areas.
Make proactive recommendations for property upkeep and repairs.
Inspects Bank property to identify needs for new plantings, flowers, or shrubs.
Performs special cleaning tasks and routine painting.
Performs other related duties as required or directed.
Maintain leased and foreclosed properties as needed, including mowing, changing locks, draining water lines, and property cleanup and repairs.
