About The Position

The custodial worker performs general cleaning of campus facilities at Bluegrass Community & Technical College. Working collaboratively with the facilities management team leader, the position helps provide clean and sanitary facilities for students, faculty, staff, and the general public on a daily basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and one year of related experience, or equivalent.
• Good interaction and communication skills.
• Commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community and technical college and to personalized maintenance and operations services.
• Personal and professional integrity.

Nice To Haves

• Must be physically able to lift heavy items, such as office furniture and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, eating areas, offices, and meeting rooms.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Dust furniture.
• Clean windows.
• Dispose of trash safely according to state and federal regulations.
• Buff floors.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Perform assignments specified by the facilities management team leader and director of maintenance and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
