About The Position
As a Facilities Technician, you will help keep the grounds and facilities clean, safe, well-maintained, and ready for guests. The role includes inspecting facilities, performing maintenance and repairs, landscaping, monitoring the misting system, replenishing supplies, and helping with storm preparedness and recovery. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors and may include additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance and landscaping.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques, as well as landscaping principles and practices.
- Experience operating equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Experience working with cleaning products and chemicals.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work safely and effectively with equipment, tools, cleaning products, and chemicals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and landscaping requirements.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance.
- Perform landscaping duties.
- Monitor and maintain the misting system.
- Keep all areas safe and clean by sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing.
- Monitor and replenish supplies.
- Immediately report maintenance needs and hazards to a supervisor.
- Complete maintenance checklists.
- Assist with storm preparedness and recovery tasks.
- Remove trash, safely operate a trash compactor, and keep the trash compactor area clean.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for guests and employees.
- Assist with special tasks and projects.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
