About The Position
Maintain the building and equipment so they operate safely. The work includes repairing package-handling machines and maintaining electrical, electronic, air-powered, fluid-powered, and mechanical systems. Follow established maintenance procedures. This is a large ongoing facilities maintenance position with three openings near Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavy sort-related components, parts, and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
- Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Ability to access equipment by crawling, lying down, standing, and/or climbing at all heights above and below ground level.
Responsibilities
- Keep the building and equipment working safely.
- Repair machines that move packages.
- Maintain electrical, electronic, air-powered, fluid-powered, and mechanical systems.
- Follow established maintenance procedures.
- Use tools and equipment to perform repairs.
