About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Requirements

Plumbing skills: repair broken, damaged, and leaking pvc/copper pipe; repair/replace automatic flush valves and sink valves, insulating pipe work. Proper use of required tools.
Electrical skills: minimum 1yr experience with high and low voltage; repair/replace light fixtures; troubleshoot and replace/install receptacles and drops; able to read prints, schematics, and line drawings. Understanding and using DVM and other special tools.
Light construction skills: Attaching parts and equipment with concrete anchors, repairing holes in concrete with supplied materials, repairing manual and electric roll up doors and pass-through doors. Able to read and follow prints. Understanding and using basic units of measure. Proper use of required tools to complete job.
Mechanical or electrical skills
Ability to accurately maintain operation records
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of electrical principles, and pneumatics
Knowledge of the proper use and hazards of chemical materials

Nice To Haves

Welding skills are a plus.
Organizational, time efficiency and documentation skills
Analytical problem-solving skills
Crawling, stooping, bending and long periods of standing required
Must be able to lift up to 75 Lbs. and climb ladders
Must be able to work in varying temperatures as needed

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing facility maintenance.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained work area throughout the repair/installation process.
