About The Position

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades such as mechanical and plumbing. Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Works in both buildings on the campus with approximately 95% indoor and 5% outdoor tasks. Explains facts and practices related to job area. Works to achieve operational targets within job area. Communicates with contacts typically within the team to provide or obtain information requiring explanation. Follows established processes to complete routine tasks and escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• General knowledge of electrical systems.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Ability to use blueprints, sketches, layouts, drawings, and specifications under supervision.
• Requires minimal job knowledge/skills.
• 1 to 3 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to perform occasional 2 person lifts.
