About The Position

As a Facilities Technician with Billingsley Collection at The Beacon, you help maintain a clean, functional, safe, and welcoming living environment. This multifaceted role combines housekeeping and porter responsibilities and supports the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall condition of the property. The position includes cleaning common areas and amenities, preparing units for new move-ins, maintaining grounds and parking areas, performing basic maintenance, and responding to resident requests. It also involves monitoring for safety concerns, maintaining supplies and storerooms, and learning and maintaining pool systems according to company standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and the proper use and storage of chemicals.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents and the property management team.
Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks, such as light bulb replacement and minor plumbing repairs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Willingness to wear a company-provided uniform during working hours.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Physical ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean common areas, including hallways, breezeways, lobbies, elevators, and community spaces.
Assist with new move-ins by ensuring units are clean and prepared for new tenants.
Maintain amenity areas by dusting, mopping, and vacuuming as needed.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and laundry facilities.
Dispose of trash and recycling promptly and in an organized manner.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
Maintain grounds, landscaping, and parking areas.
Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and complaints, and enter service requests through company systems.
Monitor the property for safety hazards or security concerns and report them to the property management team.
Maintain an inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and notify management when restocking is required.
Keep storerooms organized and in compliance with safety standards.
Learn and maintain pool systems according to company standards.
Report maintenance issues or needed repairs to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure areas meet or exceed established cleanliness and maintenance guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
