The purpose of a Maintenance Technician position is to perform basic tasks and repairs within the fulfillment center including work on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance. This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Also, we ask that you have familiarity with AC/DC systems and the ability to use a voltmeter. You will report to the Facilities Area Manager and work onsite in our Ontario, CA fulfillment center.

Requirements

  • Read and comprehend technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (i.e., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training.
  • 1 year or more experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • 1 year or more experience with conveyor, automation and sortation system repair
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Can repeatedly lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as electrical, lighting, HVAC, & conveyor systems.
  • Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment.
  • Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical.
  • Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment.
  • Help with conveyor, automation and sortation system repairs.
  • Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter.
  • Follow lock out/tag out policy.
  • Assist team leaders and contractors to perform installations of new or replacement equipment.
  • Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repair data.
  • Read technical manuals and document changes.
