About The Position

The Facilities Tech performs Operations & Maintenance tasks to help ensure the building runs smoothly during the shift. Duties include transporting tools, supplies, and pallets throughout the building; performing battery swaps and preventative maintenance on equipment; and supporting other operational needs as assigned. The role also includes battery care and monitoring, pallet-flow support, recycling and corrugate handling, and housekeeping in relevant work areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment operating a forklift.
At least 1 year of experience using power tools, including saws and drills, with proper safety precautions.
At least 1 year of experience with basic forklift equipment and driving.
At least 1 year of experience with basic mechanical and/or electrical components.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
Change, wash, and fill batteries with water as needed.
Collect and record runtime data and monitor reports for underperforming batteries.
Perform battery preventive maintenance, including checking water systems, specific gravity, and cables, and repairing cables.
Maintain battery chargers and racks, clean drip trays and rollers, and maintain RoboWrap batteries, changing them as needed.
Manage pallet flow by repairing, reporting, transporting, delivering, retrieving, and loading or offloading trailers to support operational needs.
Perform housekeeping duties in and around battery-change and pallet-build areas.
Help coordinate, load, and unload recycling materials as needed.
Load and operate corrugate to the baler as needed.
Move items weighing up to 50 pounds and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Support overall operations as needed.
