About The Position

Kendal at Hanover is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, employing over 300 staff members and home to 400 residents. Located on 65 acres in Hanover, NH, Kendal provides independent living, assisted living, memory care, and nursing care in a community encompassing 600,000 square feet of community physical space. Kendal at Hanover is seeking a Facilities Services Supervisor. The Facilities Services Supervisor is responsible for providing hands-on leadership for campus facilities, maintenance, and security operations with customer service as the highest priority. The person in this role manages, schedules, and supervises staff who are responsible for daily and evening maintenance and campus security while actively supporting residents, staff, and departments through responsive, solution-focused service.

Requirements

  • A degree in a related field (or the equivalent experience) and at least 3 additional years of demonstrated, successful leadership experience in Customer Service setting
  • Ability to travel throughout buildings and grounds and perform inspection (large majority of work day includes standing and walking)
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated leadership skills
  • A valid, unexpired driver’s license
  • Must be insurable under Kendal’s automobile insurance carrier

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supervising maintenance and security teams with a strong customer service focus
  • Assigning, coordinating, and prioritizing daily work orders and projects
  • Acting as a working supervisor, including on-call service response
  • Ensuring high-quality, responsive service to residents and staff
  • Coordinating covered parking operations, code compliance, snow removal, and all hazard mitigation
  • Supporting resident moves and furniture relocation
  • Planning, directing, and overseeing 24/7 security operations
  • Investigating and documenting security incidents and PEER reports
  • Leading maintenance and facilities projects using best practices
  • Managing project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and stakeholder approvals
  • Conducting staff training, coaching, evaluations, and performance documentation
