Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Three (3) years of experience in the area of assignment.
  • Strong working knowledge of departmental policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern office practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of the operations of local government, including applicable County codes, ordinances, and federal, state, and local administrative regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other job-related software.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and research capabilities.
  • Strong business writing skills.
  • Polished verbal communication abilities, including public speaking.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to develop clear, persuasive proposals, reports, correspondence, and procedural documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment and computer systems for data entry, word processing, and related functions.
  • Ability to consistently represent the department with professionalism and confidence.

  • Depending on assignment: Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Depending on position assignment… if assigned to work within the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office/Justice Center/Jail additional background checks will be required: Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS). FALCON Integrated Criminal History System.
