About The Position

The Facilities Safety Specialist supports facility operations, project oversight, and safety compliance across the organization. This role involves hands-on coordination of construction, maintenance, vendor contracts, and space utilization in collaboration with Plant Operations and internal departments. Daily work includes managing safety programs, conducting regulatory assessments, and tracking maintenance through specialized software. Challenges often include juggling competing priorities, responding to urgent compliance issues, and maintaining smooth communication across teams. The role combines structured administrative tasks with on-the-ground problem-solving and proactive safety leadership.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities administration, construction project management, or a related field.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations.
Skilled with maintenance software.
Detail-oriented under pressure.

Familiarity with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
