About The Position

Camelot Facility Management is hiring a Facilities Project Manager to represent the facilities team onsite with a client during a multi-year expansion project in Boston’s Back Bay. The role spans design review, shutdown coordination, punch lists, commissioning, and turnover. The Facilities Project Manager brings operational requirements into project meetings, coordinates logistics to keep work moving safely, and ensures finished spaces and building systems are ready for live operations. This is a facilities-side project role without budget or contract authority. The project management team owns costs, contracts, and change orders; this role focuses on facilities requirements, operational logistics, and turnover. The position is full-time, salaried, and onsite five days a week. Work takes place in office settings and active construction areas, with PPE required where applicable. Hours may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on project needs; compensatory time may be granted when hours become excessive.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of combined experience in facilities management, project management, and/or construction management.
  • Working knowledge of MEP and building systems; design-level engineering expertise is not required.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to varied audiences.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and composure in a high-visibility corporate environment.
  • Calm, direct, and organized approach when priorities compete and plans change.
  • Responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through, including the ability to spot problems early and bring practical solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-rise, urban commercial buildings.
  • Experience in a large, structured corporate environment.
  • A career spanning both facilities management and project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • CFM (Certified Facility Manager) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the design and construction team and the client’s facilities leadership.
  • Represent facilities requirements in project meetings, report status and emerging risks to stakeholders, and escalate issues that cannot be resolved at the working level.
  • Partner with project management on schedules, risk mitigation, and contingency planning so operational requirements are included from the start.
  • Coordinate contractor site access, loading docks, and staging with construction and security.
  • Coordinate planned shutdowns, utility outages, and systems testing to minimize disruption to occupants and operations.
  • Conduct first-pass reviews of MEP and building systems designs, coordinate full technical reviews with the client’s facilities team, and send comments back to engineering.
  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for punch lists and project closeout, tracking items through resolution as construction phases finish.
  • Coordinate with the client’s internal communications team on occupant-facing announcements about project activity.
  • Collect and organize turnover documentation, including O&M manuals, record drawings, warranties, and commissioning reports, and enter it into facility management systems (CMMS) as needed.
