Requirements

  • Must be highly organized.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
  • Must have knowledge of HVAC.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
  • Must function under general supervision.
  • Must be flexible and have integrity.
  • Must possess the ability of effectively work with residents and staff.
  • High School or GED.
  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.
  • Attendance is essential to this job.
  • Must also maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Attendance policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance or related industry experience preferred.
  • Project management: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with established vendors to prioritize and schedule unit renovations through project completion.
  • Assisting other Maintenance personnel, when necessary, in the completion of various projects or repairs including campus snow removal.
  • Maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks.
  • Performing additional duties requested by the Supervisor and the Director of General Services in order to ensure the effective and efficient operation within the community.
