About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking either a Principal Facilities Planner (Level 3) or a Senior Principal Facilities Planner (Level 4) to join their team. This position is on-site in Palmdale, CA. The role involves responsible construction project work planning and scheduling, developing and maintaining master project schedules for all facilities construction projects, and problem-solving to implement projects and moves effectively. Collaboration with multiple disciplines and stakeholders is key, as is the ability to work with minimum supervision, multitask, and exercise good judgment. The planner will act as the primary contact for the office and project planning team, internal customers, and support Project Managers by being the main contact for furniture, fixtures, and office equipment. They will establish milestones, monitor adherence to design and campus plans, identify problems, and develop solutions regarding resource allocation or project scope changes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience in facilities planning or facilities project management experience, Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in facilities planning or facilities project management experience or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of stated experience (for Level 3)
  • High School Diploma/GED with 11 years of experience in facilities planning or facilities project management experience, Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in facilities planning or facilities project management experience or a Master’s Degree with 6 years of stated experience (for Level 4)
  • Experience planning or executing activities, such as planning maintenance and construction work for facilities infrastructure and/or production equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Program Access (PAR)

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace/ Commercial industry facilities maintenance experience working with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, trade personnel

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for construction project work planning and scheduling
  • Develop and maintain the master project schedule for all facilities construction projects
  • Problem-solving skills necessary to planning and coordinating construction projects and moves to implement the work in a planned, organized, effective manner
  • Collaboration skills to work with multiple disciplines and work styles
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders as necessary to ensure efficient construction project activity execution
