Block by Block is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee one of our Ambassador programs. This role requires advanced client relationship management skills to manage daily district program operations and deliver continual program improvements. We're looking for someone with strong managerial skills, a great work ethic, experience supervising a team of employees, and a passion for creating a great experience.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of operations management experience in facilities operations management, groundskeeping/landscaping, event management, or public spaces administration.
  • Experience supervising a team of employees.
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Minimum of 5 years operations management experience.
  • Expert Customer Service Skills -- Our entire mission is to be friendly and engaging. Must lead by example with their friendliness and with a positive attitude.
  • Expert Judgement -- must be comfortable and competent in order to make decisions based on information available.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Expert in level technology and computer skills Must have a strong background with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Management experience in facilities operations, public space administration, maintenance or groundskeeping/landscaping.
  • College or Extended Education preferred
  • Has a solid work history with at least 5-7 years of experience.
  • Has supervised a team of people.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring and training a positive, skilled, and dependable team.
  • Adjusting the deployment of resources to match changing needs.
  • Identifying and solving problems to improve program quality.
  • Procuring and managing inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Reporting outcomes through various channels (spreadsheets, Kronos Timekeeping, Budgets).
  • Hands-on working management in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training.
