Requirements

  • 5–7 years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience (industrial or warehouse environment preferred)
  • 2–4 years of experience leading or supervising a team
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics; ability to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Experience maintaining flexibility and the highest level of service in high-pressure and/or stressful situations
  • Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and external service providers
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements (OSHA experience preferred)
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to typical maintenance materials
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day facilities operations across multiple locations, ensuring all systems, equipment, and infrastructure are fully operational
  • Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend asset life
  • Oversee maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration systems, electrical, plumbing, and warehouse equipment
  • Manage and prioritize work order systems, ensuring timely and high-quality resolution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors and contractors, including sourcing, scheduling, and performance oversight
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, safety regulations, inspections, and building codes
  • Support capital projects, renovations, and facility improvements, including permits and contractor coordination
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies to support uninterrupted operations
  • Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing facilities team, setting clear expectations and accountability
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Transportation, and Leadership to proactively address facility needs
  • Support emergency response efforts, including after-hours issues when needed
