About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Facilities Manager to manage facility-related projects, programs, maintenance, and related activities within Gordon Food Service Stores. This role will ensure safe, secure, and cost-effective facilities for customers and employees, and will consult with stores on general facility and maintenance issues.

Requirements

• Three (3)+ years of experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• A positive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while making sound decisions.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel 50–70%, including occasional overnight travel.
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-unit retail experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or certification in Construction or Facilities Management preferred.
• Experience with reporting, budgeting, or data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine store inspections and facility audits, making recommendations for action.
• Evaluate store assets for condition assessment to drive maintenance and replacement priorities within the asset management program.
• Perform an active role in the After Hours Support Program.
• Utilize refrigeration and mechanical software to provide basic refrigeration and mechanical support to stores and contractors.
• Provide input for expense and capital budgets for assigned planned projects and facility maps presentations.
• Routinely review, monitor, manage, and analyze budget variances, taking appropriate action to develop plans when necessary.
• Provide facilities-related training to store management teams.
• Participate in Home Office and/or field leadership structured meetings, updates, and ride-withs as required.
• Participate in the development, training, and implementation of repair and maintenance programs.
• Review and create planned and unplanned project proposals, determining time frames, funding approvals, and resource requirements.
• Ensure projects remain on time, on budget, and in scope in conjunction with best execution practices with store operations.
• Coordinate building and repair projects with contractors, regional teams, and store management teams.
• Research, evaluate, qualify, negotiate, and select vendors for maintenance and repair services.
• Manage vendor performance to ensure quality requirements are met and services are provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Develop and maintain documented policies, procedures, specifications, and processes.
• Conduct research and report on best practices, new technology, equipment, and processes that could create increased efficiencies and cost savings.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, utilize personal protective equipment, and abide by established quality standards.
