About The Position

General Motors is seeking a Facilities Management Representative to join the Flint Metal Center manufacturing engineering and facilities team. The role supports safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operation of plant facilities, utilities, infrastructure, building systems, and contracted services that support manufacturing operations. The representative works with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, safety and industrial hygiene, environmental, finance, supply chain, skilled trades, and external service providers to resolve facility issues, coordinate projects, improve service delivery, and sustain reliable plant operations. The position coordinates daily facilities services and supports plant utilities and infrastructure. It reviews work orders and service information, prioritizes issues, maintains a regular plant-floor presence, and leads or coordinates repairs, renovations, and infrastructure projects. It provides technical direction and oversight to vendors and contractors, maintains records in applicable plant systems, and supports facility safety programs and processes. The representative monitors performance indicators, communicates status and recommendations, applies continuous-improvement methods, and provides guidance and knowledge transfer to less-experienced personnel and plant partners. This role is based at the Flint Metal Center and is categorized as onsite. It requires regular presence in manufacturing, utility, construction, and office environments, with possible standing, walking, stair climbing or access to facility areas, use of required personal protective equipment, and work near operating equipment, production lines, industrial noise, temperature variation, and other manufacturing conditions. Occasional off-shift, weekend, or emergency-response activities may be required when business needs require. Relocation benefits are available to qualifying candidates under company policy. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
