About The Position

We are currently searching for a Facilities Management Assistant who will independently support the day-to-day facilities and logistics operations of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Intramural Research Program (IRP). Some of the assigned responsibilities may include supply delivery, mail routing, equipment transport, laboratory equipment maintenance, and related facility support duties. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Baltimore, MD.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with at least TWO (2) years of experience with facility, ground maintenance or similar OR a bachelor's degree
  • Must have a valid Maryland Class D driver’s license
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver supplies to offices, wards, clinics, and other buildings both on and off hospital grounds using skids, pallets, carts, hand trucks, automobiles, and trucks.
  • Cover regularly scheduled mail route; hand deliver mail, specimens, and supplies to city and non-city agencies and offices.
  • Load and unload equipment and supplies from trucks and automobiles; Verify invoices and manage budgets
  • Use a van to transport individual patients, staff, or groups between hospital buildings, offices, etc.
  • Complete and maintain non-complex reports and work records.
  • Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment such as glasses, metal instruments, sinks, tables, and test panels; ensure that adequate clean inventory is available for immediate usage.
