Position: Environmental Services/ Facilities Maintenance Schedule: Full-Time | Alternating Weekends Pay Range: $19.05-$23.23+ per hour (Depending on Experience) PLUS $3000 Sign on Incentive! Do you take pride in making a place feel warm, clean, and welcoming? The Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd (LHGS) is looking for a caring and dependable Maintenance worker to join our team! We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to work 32-40 hours per week. This position is a benefit eligible Full Time position. Sign on incentives are paid out in 5 installments over a 15 month contract. Whether you have experience or are brand new to this kind of work, we’ll train you in every part of the job — all you need is a good attitude and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Valid ND driver’s license or ability to get one within 90 days
Some maintenance or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required
A kind heart, good work ethic, and team spirit

Responsibilities

Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
Installs equipment and appliances.
Follows local and state building codes.
Complies with all company safety regulations.
Keeps a maintenance log.
Reports any issues to the maintenance manager.
Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.
Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
Clean and sanitize resident rooms and common areas
Safely handle and dispose of waste
Follow infection control procedures
Support your team and residents with a positive attitude
