About The Position

Central Transport is hiring facility maintenance lead and crew members to service its Dayton, Ohio facility and other locations in the region. The role involves diagnosing and repairing a variety of facility systems and structures, with frequent regional travel. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 10–12-hour day shifts. Travel is expected 50–75% of the time. While traveling, the position provides $50 per day in per diem, an expense account for fuel and business-related purchases, and mileage reimbursement according to company policy. Pay is $28–$35 per hour for candidates with thorough and verifiable experience in a combination of the listed qualifications.

Requirements

• Experience operating a skid steer and attachments is a plus.
• Experience repairing commercial garage doors is a plus.
• Know which tools are appropriate for particular tasks.
• Welding: 3 years (required).
• Willingness to travel 50% (required).

Nice To Haves

• 2–3 years of experience in any combination of two or more of the listed facility maintenance skills is preferred.
• Experience operating a skid steer and attachments.
• Commercial garage door repair experience.
• Knowledge of the proper equipment and tools for specific tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair general bathroom plumbing, drains, copper and PEX piping, sinks, faucets, and toilets.
• Perform electrical work such as adding circuits and outlets or switches, replacing outlets or switches, and repairing light fixtures and ballasts.
• Perform carpentry and other trade work, including installing ceramic and VCT floor tiles; repairing and hanging metal or wood doors; masonry, concrete, and drywall repairs.
• Perform stick welding on carbon steel, including dock levelers, dock bumpers, and dock plates.
• Perform seasonal HVAC preventive maintenance and minor diagnostics and repairs.
• Repair EPDM and TPO roofing.
• Install and repair chain-link fencing.
• Travel to and service multiple facilities within an assigned geographical region.
