About The Position

The Facilities & Maintenance Specialist provides facility preventative maintenance and asset management services by completing a variety of ongoing tasks. The role supports the upkeep and efficient functioning of buildings, vehicles, equipment, utilities, and supplies for the Affordable Housing Network in the Cedar Rapids area. The Affordable Housing Network provides affordable housing in the community through a variety of housing options and locations. The organization aims to develop healthy, vibrant housing communities and connect residents—including families with children, seniors, and people with disabilities—with services that meet their needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Prior experience maintaining facilities, or equivalent maintenance- and facilities-related experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled routine preventative maintenance on facilities, vehicles, and equipment to assure efficient functioning of systems.
Maintain assigned buildings, including custodial upkeep and equipment setup.
Complete assigned building repairs.
Provide building upkeep, including painting and repairing windows, walls, and doors.
Maintain building utilities, including heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical repair.
Maintain storeroom inventory and deliver supplies as ordered.
Pick up and deliver donations and/or materials as necessary.
Maintain a listing of current suppliers and system repair contacts.
Provide purchase receipts and reconcile invoices with delivered goods.
