About The Position
The Mechanic II is responsible for the preventative and standard maintenance of all mechanical equipment and their associated systems at Carle facilities. Knowledge of fire alarm, plumbing, HVAC and sprinkler systems required. Assists Facilities Mechanics III, IV and Lead as directed.

Responsibilities
- Performs all essential job functions of Maintenance Mechanic I.
- Identifies and corrects equipment malfunction in emergency situations, power failure, water leaks, etc.
- Identifies and corrects mechanical and minor electrical deficiencies.
- Detects structural, general carpentry, and roofing problems and either corrects or has corrected by proper trades.
- Conducts mechanical, and to some degree electrical, preventative maintenance checks
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance.
- Coordinates and plans relocation of personnel, furniture and equipment.
- Installs furniture, cabinetry and some medical equipment.
