About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance and repair of assigned buildings and facilities. The role distributes daily work, encourages department productivity, maintains repair records, and manages work orders from creation through completion. The manager also performs other job-related duties as assigned.

The annual starting salary is $80,000–$95,284.80, based on experience. Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug test and background check after a conditional offer, where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Basic technical and repair knowledge of maintenance processes, including safety guidelines and inspection and repair of mechanical, electrical/electronic, HVAC, structural, building, and grounds components.
• Working knowledge of mandated safety principles related to personal protective equipment, chemical hazards, lockout/tagout, and general shop safety and cleanliness.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel, and familiarity with vehicle maintenance information systems and work-order processes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly with the Director of Maintenance and other employees.
• Knowledge of basic part and component replacement processes.
• Ability to carry out assignments promptly and in a timely manner.
• Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and keep it in good standing with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Distribute daily work assignments.
• Motivate and encourage productivity within the department.
• Keep clear and up-to-date records of all repairs made within the department.
• Make, process, monitor, and close daily work orders.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
