About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment throughout the facility, including boilers, chillers, circulation fans, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. The technician will also maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance activities using the CMMS system, respond to facility service requests, and support building operations. Additionally, the position requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation, assist with installations and repairs, and support building automation controls and environmental systems while maintaining a safe work environment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Commercial HVAC installation and maintenance experience required.
• Intermediate blueprint reading skills.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to stand and walk 8–12 hours per shift.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
• Ability to work planned and unplanned overtime, including weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift, 5–7 days per week.

• Experience with plumbing, gas line installation/repair, and building maintenance preferred.

• Low Pressure Chiller Training
• Ohio Fire Detection License
• Building Automation Controls Training
• Commercial HVAC, facilities maintenance, plumbing, gas line installation, and project management experience are highly valued.
