About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment throughout the facility, including boilers, chillers, circulation fans, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. The technician will also maintain accurate records using the CMMS system, respond to service requests, and support building operations. Additionally, the position requires reading and interpreting technical documentation, assisting with installations and repairs, and supporting building automation controls. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement is essential.

Requirements

  • Commercial HVAC installation and maintenance experience required.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate blueprint reading skills.
  • Beginner to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to stand and walk 8–12 hours per shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
  • Ability to work planned and unplanned overtime, including weekends as needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift, 5–7 days per week.

  • Commercial HVAC, facilities maintenance, plumbing, gas line installation, and project management experience are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, chillers, circulation fans, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment throughout the facility.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
  • Respond to facility service requests and support building operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with commercial HVAC installations, plumbing repairs, gas line installations, and facility improvement projects.
  • Support building automation controls and environmental systems.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
