About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Facilities Maintenance Technician - HVAC position for our client. This is a permanent placement role located in Palm Bay, FL. The schedule for this position is NIGHTS, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, working 3 nights one week and 4 nights the next. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining industrial HVAC and facility systems, including chillers, air handlers, pumps, VFDs, exhaust fans, and controls. Responsibilities include performing system walkdowns, inspections, and operational checks, as well as completing preventative maintenance on HVAC, water, compressed air, vacuum, controls, and life safety systems. The technician will also research parts, obtain vendor quotes, support equipment installations, and assist with facility construction, modifications, and special projects. Maintenance and troubleshooting of DI water, waste treatment, nitrogen, and chiller plant systems are also key duties. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $25.00 to $30.00/hour, with salary offers based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and certifications. Requirements

  • Industrial HVAC/refrigeration, chillers, air handling, pumps, compressors, and vacuum systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
  • 3+ years of industrial HVAC or facilities maintenance experience required.
  • Must be available for overnight shift: 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, 3 nights one week and 4 nights the next.
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite in Palm Bay, FL.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of controls, electrical, process piping, water, and life safety systems is a plus.
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or controls certifications/training preferred.
  • Experience with facility mechanical systems preferred.
  • Associate degree in electro-mechanical technology, skilled trades, or related military training preferred.
