$65,000 - $80,000Hybrid

About The Position

SERVPRO Team Shaw is seeking a driven Facilities Maintenance & Handyman Manager to oversee the upkeep, cleanliness, and functionality of all their internal locations in the DFW market. This role is responsible for the physical condition of buildings and grounds, facility cleanliness standards, supporting fleet condition evaluation, managing a small internal maintenance/handyman team, and coordinating outside vendors. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and capable of managing tasks from identification to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, general handyman work, property management, or a related trade.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors — getting quotes, scheduling, and holding them accountable to quality and timeline.
  • Strong organizational skills; comfortable running a punch list and prioritizing competing requests.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between DFW sites as needed.
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, work order tracking, simple spreadsheets).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in restoration, construction, or multi-site facilities is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience overseeing janitorial staff/vendors or facility cleanliness standards is a plus.
  • Basic familiarity with fleet/vehicle maintenance tracking is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of all facilities (offices, warehouse, yard, and equipment storage) in DFW, East Texas and Houston.
  • Oversee overall cleanliness and presentation of facility in Grapevine — offices, warehouse, break rooms, restrooms, and common areas — including managing janitorial staff or vendors and holding them to a standard.
  • Assist in evaluating the fleet: track vehicle condition, mileage, and maintenance history; help identify vehicles needing service, repair, or replacement, and support recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain a facilities punch list / work order log; prioritize and assign work, and track completion.
  • Perform hands-on repairs directly (drywall, paint, doors/hardware, basic plumbing and electrical, carpentry, flooring touch-ups) within skill and code limits.
  • Source, schedule, and manage outside vendors and contractors for specialty work (HVAC, roofing, electrical/plumbing beyond basic scope, fire/life-safety systems, pest control, landscaping).
  • Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and preventive maintenance inspections; catch issues before they become work orders.
  • Manage relationships with landlords/property managers where applicable, and track lease-related maintenance obligations.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle staging areas, storage organization, and warehouse racking/safety standards.
  • Own facilities-related budget items: get quotes, track spend against a maintenance budget, and flag capital needs (roof, HVAC replacement, parking lot, etc.) to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire code, and other applicable safety requirements across all locations.
  • Support office moves, buildouts, and space reconfigurations as the company grows.
  • Maintain a small parts/supplies inventory (fasteners, paint, common repair materials) to avoid delays on routine fixes.
  • Respond promptly to urgent facility issues (leaks, HVAC outages, security/access issues) including occasional after-hours calls.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
