About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator oversees maintenance and repairs of building systems and equipment to keep facilities in optimal working condition. The role combines hands-on basic repair work with vendor coordination, preventive maintenance planning, recordkeeping, and communication with management and leadership. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The hourly rate is $18.00–$20.00.

Requirements

• Prior hands-on maintenance experience and comfort completing basic building repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance coordinator or similar role within a manufacturing or machining environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Perform a morning walk-through of all facilities to identify immediate issues.
• Complete basic repairs and improvements, including light plumbing, painting, trim work, bulb and fixture replacements, and other small-scale tasks.
• Serve as the point of contact for vendors, including HVAC, roofing, lawn care and snow removal, fire safety, and hi-lo repair providers.
• Coordinate and manage preventive and routine maintenance for machinery and equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
• Review maintenance requests and prepare action plans for in-house and external service and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Provide weekly status updates to the Manager and communicate scheduled maintenance plans and emergency updates to Leadership.
