About The Position

The Facilities I, DC performs housekeeping and janitorial duties to help maintain a safe and clean environment for employees and customers. The position is based at 450 Ingenuity Ave, Sparks, NV 89441, with a scheduled shift of 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Starting pay is $18.67, depending on experience. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing the building, removing trash, sweeping and mopping floors in restrooms and the break room, vacuuming carpets in offices and the showroom, and restocking supplies. The employee may maintain a daily log of assigned and completed tasks, perform other duties as assigned, and comply with company policies and standards. Work takes place under typical warehouse conditions in a moderately noisy, hectic, fast-paced environment. The role can involve dust, changing weather, ambient lighting, extreme heat or cold, nearby conveyor systems, and potential hazards from machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems. Employees may be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least six months of experience in a related field.
Ability to read and write, identify label information, and communicate verbally with staff appropriately.
Ability to follow directions and adjust priorities or duties as business needs require.
Good communication skills.
Strong organization skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities.
Ability to read a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and know where MSDS books are located in the facility.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to recognize areas requiring immediate attention and respond promptly.
Self-starter with initiative.
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
Regular and prompt attendance.
Ability to work overtime as required, which may include weekends.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, lifting or moving items, and performing repetitive motions.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of floor care, floor-care chemicals, sanitizers, and building-maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize the building daily, including removing trash, sweeping and mopping restroom and break-room floors, and vacuuming office and showroom carpets.
Restock supplies in restrooms and the break room as needed.
Maintain a daily log of tasks assigned and completed when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all company policies and standards, including internal Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
