The Capital Programs and Facilities Management (CPFM) department, within the Division of Administration and Finance, is dedicated to planning, developing, and maintaining a safe, sustainable, and high-quality learning and working environment for the campus community. Facilities Management oversees university resources and assets, including land use planning, capital improvement, project development, construction, and facilities operations and maintenance (custodial, landscape, building trades, mechanical, electrical, and recycling services). We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Financial Operations team as the Facilities Finance Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist – Exempt I). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs plus two years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty.
  • Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques.
  • Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
  • Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form.
  • Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the department Finance Manager, the Facilities Finance Analyst is responsible for completing a wide range of specialized analytical and administrative duties that require independent research and knowledge of financial accounting.
  • Supports and analyzes the day-to-day financial and contractual operations of the Capital Programs and Facilities Management (CPFM) operations.
  • Coordinates and administers the Facilities operation cost recovery billing process of work orders and utilities costs.
  • Works well in a team environment and can maintain good working relationships with various constituencies.
  • Collaborates with managers, directors, vendors, and staff on various financial assignments, taking accountability for own work results.
  • Performs technical duties and uses independent judgment to make decisions, interpret and apply a wide range of policies and procedures of CSUF Contract and Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounting and Budget Office.
  • Other duties as assigned.
