About The Position

Sodexo is hiring a Facilities Operations Manager to lead building operations at a brand-new corporate campus in Pleasanton, CA. Oversee a full-service site with dedicated engineering, vendor, and hospitality teams. You'll manage 2-3 onsite engineers and coordinate pest control, landscaping, fire safety, and preventive maintenance vendors for a 5-story campus with cafes, coffee bars, and breakrooms on every floor. In this operational leadership role, you’ll oversee and optimize facilities and engineering services to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance across all systems and teams. You’ll manage everything from mechanical systems and maintenance workflows to budgeting, safety programs, and client relationships, all while developing staff and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing facilities, mechanical systems, or engineering operations in a complex environment.
  • Technical skills combined with financial acumen to support budgeting, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage frontline teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CMMS/work order systems and experience driving operational improvements through data and reporting.
  • A proactive, safety-first mindset with the skillset to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring compliance and service excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of Management Experience
  • 3-5 years of Related Experience

Responsibilities
