About The Position

Chevron is hiring Civil Engineering interns for its facilities engineering roles at various operating locations across the U.S. These interns will be assigned a mentor and will work on projects supporting operating facilities through technical engineering knowledge and project management skills. Potential areas of focus include optimizing facilities for safety and reliability, providing technical support for turnarounds and projects, developing technologies to reduce carbon and increase efficiency, and using digitalization for process improvement. Top-performing interns may be offered return internships or full-time positions after graduation, potentially entering Chevron's Horizons Program for early-career development.

Requirements

  • Students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.
  • Strong academic performance in core programs.
  • Communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.

Responsibilities

  • Support operating facilities through the application of technical engineering knowledge and project management skills.
  • Optimize facilities to deliver maximum value safely and reliably.
  • Provide technical engineering support for turnarounds and projects.
  • Develop and/or deploy industry-leading technologies to reduce carbon, increase efficiency and maximize returns.
  • Use digitalization and data analytics to improve process operations and safety.
