About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Facilities Development Project Coordinator. This promotional / open opportunity is open to all interested candidates. The Facilities Development Project Coordinator will Lead, coordinate, monitor, and schedule the work of staff and consultants for school building programs and modernization projects and in the preparation of plans, specifications, and calculations for all design work to ensure compliance with district policies and school bond contracts and requirements for the public construction bidding and subsequent project construction administration process.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a major in architecture, building engineering, or related field.
  • Eight years of progressively responsible experience in architecture or engineering with an emphasis on building construction.
  • Related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application.

  • Contact information for three references must be listed in the 'Reference' section of the application. References should be from a current or previous supervisor.
  • Attach Verification of Education. Education, training, or certifications will only be considered if acceptable documentation is attached. Accepted documents include: Copy of a degree or official transcript, Copy of Licenses and/or Certifications.
  • Individuals who have completed high school or college-level coursework at an institution in a country other than the United States must provide a Foreign Equivalency Certification to satisfy the education requirement.
