About The Position

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Cooperative’s buildings and grounds for optimal efficiency, employee comfort and safety, positive public image and compliance with applicable laws and Cooperative Policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Facilities management training or three years custodial experience.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and plan.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to operate janitorial and grounds maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspection of buildings and grounds.
  • Preventive maintenance for the Cooperative’s buildings, mechanical system, electrical systems, HVAC systems and assigned maintenance equipment.
  • Contact for tenants of the any Cooperative’s leased space.
  • Repair and/or replacement of defective equipment or components.
  • Oversight of service contracts.
  • Garbage services.
  • Purchase and store routine cleaning, maintenance and storeroom supplies.
  • Recommend equipment needed to perform duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Meeting setup, arrange tables and chairs, assist with food and beverage.
  • Assist employees with adjustment and proper operation of furniture.
  • Responsible for breakroom vending services and supplies
  • Daily pickup and delivery of mail.
  • Performs other duties as required.
