About The Position

The Archway is Tarrant County’s only state-designated family violence program, dedicated to ending intimate partner violence. We work with domestic violence victims to ensure their safety and hold offenders accountable. We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join our operations team. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing our facilities in Arlington and Fort Worth, ensuring compliance with regulations, including OSHA standards. The position involves developing and implementing systems for vehicle maintenance, inspections, and cleanliness. The Facilities Coordinator will manage a network of technicians and service companies for smooth operation of facilities and equipment, including buildings, flooring, plumbing, electrical, security, outdoor areas, furniture, and HVAC. A key responsibility is scheduling all facility reviews and servicing, such as OSHA inspections, fire sprinkler systems, and HVAC annual servicing. The role includes supervising maintenance and janitorial staff, training new employees, evaluating performance, and submitting reports. This position requires planning and coordinating a 24/7 on-call emergency response system for issues like alarm calls, and the coordinator must respond to after-hours emergencies promptly. Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Must be familiar with ADA, OSHA, communicable diseases abatement practices and other facility specific requirements.
  • Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, fire suppressing systems, burglar and fire alarm operation and can read blueprints.
  • 2-4 years of related maintenance experience
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a residential or similar setting in a maintenance capacity.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, internet and e-mail applications.
  • Current Texas Driver’s License Required
  • Proof of liability automobile insurance
  • Frequent prolonged sitting, occasional walking, stooping, and standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and substances.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises activities to ensure all facilities are maintained, repaired, and in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensures all assigned locations are in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Develops and implements a system for maintenance, inspection, fueling, and cleanliness of all agency vehicles.
  • Maintains a roster of technicians and service companies needed to ensure smooth operation of agency facilities and equipment, including building, flooring, plumbing, electrical, security, all outdoor areas, furniture, and HVAC.
  • Schedules all facility reviews for inspection from outside sources such as OSHA, fire sprinkler systems, and all HVAC annual servicing.
  • Supervises maintenance and janitorial employees.
  • Trains new employees.
  • Evaluates employee performance.
  • Submits timely and accurate reports.
  • Plans and coordinates a rotating system for responding to on-call emergencies, including alarm calls, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Responds to after-hours emergencies in a timely fashion.
