About The Position
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is hiring a Facilities and Supplies Specialist in Baldwin, Alabama. The position is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility and grounds, as well as coordinating the ordering, receiving, and expensing of supplies. The role also supports inventory reconciliation, blood-drive supply preparation, vendor work, and vehicle inspections and cleaning.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements.
- Ability to use floor-care machines and other electronic equipment necessary for daily cleaning and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to interact professionally with external and internal customers.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of facilities experience.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, including daily and overall upkeep of assigned areas.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the company facility and grounds daily to ensure all areas are clean and safe.
- Make repair and maintenance recommendations to the Regional Manager.
- Coordinate and monitor vendor work at the facility, ensuring the work is completed properly and billed appropriately.
- Coordinate ordering, receiving, and expensing activities for the district.
- Prepare weekly and monthly inventory counts to reconcile regional inventory.
- Prepare supplies needed for blood drives.
- Inspect vehicles and clean them as needed.
